Enhancing HR Efficiency Through Digital Innovation

Driven by innovation, the company unveiled digital platforms last year to enhance HR efficiency. ¡§We¡¦ve launched an innovative Employee Service Portal (ESP), and implemented the Global HR Information System (HRIS) to streamline HR processes and make work and life easier for our employees globally!¡¨ said Pearl.

As a one-stop solution, the ESP provides easy access to services and information that cater for all employees¡¦ needs. ¡§Our team has integrated more than 10 new apps, ranging from BI Portal to Contract Management System that cover essential aspects of our daily operations. The portal also facilitates collaboration across functions and serves as a platform for sharing best practices and project updates. This not only breaks down functional barriers, but also fosters a culture of innovation, giving a fresh impetus to our success.¡¨

Customized Training Designed for a Seamless Transition

The ongoing efforts also include the Global HR Information System (HRIS) built on SAP SuccessFactors, a centralized system that streamlines HR processes, including performance management and employee development. Employees can easily access their personal information and engage in performance reviews from any device.
Pearl acknowledged that the process of integrating the new systems was not all plain sailing. The team worked hard to ensure all data was complete and correct. To facilitate a smooth rollout, the cross-functional team developed targeted training programmes to ensure everyone is equipped to make the most of the new tools.

Increasing Awareness of CSR through Volunteer Engagement

At Lee Kum Kee, the core value of ¡§Si Li Ji Ren¡¨ is deeply ingrained in its corporate culture and is reflected through community involvement. ¡§A key aspect of our CSR efforts is our Global Volunteer Team, which actively engages employees in a wide range of community service projects around the world to foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork, while also creating lasting impacts to empower the communities we serve.¡¨

For example, the company¡¦s HQ volunteer team has joined hands with The Project Futurus in their flagship programme ¡§Sensory Restaurant on Wheels¡¨ which raises awareness about dementia through an immersive ¡§Yum Cha¡¨ experience, as well as a visit to the children in need at Ronald McDonald House Hong Kong.

Putting the Tri-Balance Concept in Action

The company promotes the Tri-Balance concept among its employees to maintain a healthy and work-life balanced culture. ¡§We believe a vibrant workplace culture is vital to our success. We organize a wide range of festivities throughout the year to create opportunities for employees to connect. Examples include Wellness Week, where our HQ team enjoyed a wellness boost that included health talk, on-site body checks, and a juice bar session to fuel our employees up, while Family Cinema Day promotes Tri-balance, creating chances for families to come together and enjoy themselves outside of work.¡¨

For talent development, the Global Talent Programme was launched last year to welcome a new cohort of graduate trainees to Lee Kum Kee family. ¡§Our primary objective is cultivating exceptional talent, providing trainees with unparalleled global exposure across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Malaysia.¡¨ The 18-month intensive learning journey encompasses several well-structured components aimed at equipping these LEEntrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge, growing talent for the company¡¦s long-term development.
